DN: Música
translated from the portuguese
One knew Preto from his earlier project made with singer Cynthia Zamorano. This Preto is miles away from then. (...) Quietude stands closer to Jazz but it also has electronics, dub, beats. It may be diverse because it holds various creative phases, but it has unity at the same time since all the elements combine in this sort of cinematic music.

Expresso: Actual
translated from the portuguese
It would be almost fatal for a musical exercise that holds itself on such different influences such as rock guitar, dub bass, electric jazz keyboards, acoustic piano of the european minimalism, breakbeat, ambient, techno, psychedelic, 'slow funk' and hip-hop to turn out to be a fragmented language looking for its north. But there is in this world that is reconciled with itself, an atmospheric definition, the sense of poetic composition, capacity for the integration of memory fragments in a coherent aesthetic reality, and above all, a fluid discourse that evokes the river flowing with certainty to its delta where the sea of contemporary pop is waiting.
